Well, the ink tanks are not of "reduced capacity". Do you noticed that
there's a lot of movements with the printer when you install the ink tanks
during first use? When the printers are shipped out from the factory, the
ink in the PrintHead is being drain out so as to prevent clogging of
PrintHead. So when you use the printer for the first time, some ink is used
to rush of the air and to fill up the PrintHead.
