If the leather is cracked, dying it is not going to produce a long-term fix.
I have a chair I love and the leather is cracked; the chair's useful life is
not long. It went all the way thru in the cushion, which would have cost
300 dollars to fix. I got it redone in vinyl (yuk).
You aren't going to uncrack your leather, and that crack will go all the
way thru in the not too distant future. So spending $100 on a dye job may
be quite futile.
