It means I want to try to replace the ancient computer/CNC control on
the existing Bridgeport mill that I have. The current computer
sometimes freaks out, and I think it is due to overheating, boards and
chips unseating themselves, ... Whatever the case, the circa
1980-1984 BOSS/G-code level is not up to snuff for today's standards.

It is my home shop, and I have the capability of measuring to half a
tenth (0.00005"), but I don't need to hold those tolerances for what
I'm working on.

I said 50 lbs of load. Obviously I want to run things as fast as
possible while still getting good cuts. I have a 3 axis stage right
now that I am intending to mount a router as the spindle motor, maybe
with electronic speed control.

There are two projects.
1. Retrofitting my existing CNC control on my Bridgeport vertical
mill. I'm interested in doing this because the existing control is
old, and I'd like to add a CNC rotary table too.
2. Building a 3+ axis control out of a 3 axis stage with either
steppers or servos. X&Y screws are Acme screws, Z screw is a
