for a list of ethernet transceiver chips. Are you planning on using a
specific processor. If not then you could look at using an ethernet
network processor. AMCC makes a quad fast ethernet network processor
at http://www.mmcnetworks.com/Solutions/nP7020.asp. You could also
get just an ethernet phy and use an FPGA with a ethernet MAC core and
a processor core.
