I am a photographer and I would like to have someone build a basic radio
transmitter and receiver for me to trigger flash units. I need about 4
transmitters and 10 receivers for myself and if these turn out to be cost
effective then I would consider taking the risk of having a few hundred
built each and sell the to other photographers (and we would share the
profits). Here are the specs:
Range: a few hundred feet
2 settings: A and B: setting A on transmitter will only trigger receivers
set to A
Triggering the transmitter sends a signal to the receiver which results in
simply closing a circuit for about 0.1 seconds.
Somehow the radio frequency should be encoded so other signals will not
trigger the receiver.
The units should be fairly small.
You will ask yourself why I don't just buy these units. The problem is that
they are about $ 200 each for an item which I estimate to be less than $ 10
