Many thanks for the information. I did a little work writing in assembly
language(BBC Microcomputer Model B) but one has to exercise care although it
is most satisfying when the thing works. It's significantly easier to
program in BASIC. It was the fact that I would have to use assembly that put
me off doing a job using a PIC last year in spite of many recommendations
from subscribers to this group to do so.
