Don't be too disappointed if the thing doea not work. I built something like
thi some years ago, got only marginal results on a good day. What I
discovered was that:
1. The noise phase during positice AC cycles was not the same as during
negative AC cycles.
2. There was sometimes more than one noise pulse during a half cycle of AC.
3. The phase of the noise jiggled back and fourth.
4. The noise "pulse"can be very wide; that is, it showed ringing
