When one color gun goes out or looks intermittent, it is almost
*always* the case of a bad solder joint on the PCB that has the CRT
And that happens over time due to the stress applied by a sponge-like
material between the monitor case and that PCB, along with
electromigration of the solder at monitor temperatures.
I have re-soldered many of these, giving 1-4 years more service.
Any reasonably experienced electronic technician can do this.
BUT be advised, a shop that repairs monitors will charge so much that
the difference in cost for a good used monitor is not much.
So find someone to fix it "on the side" for a few dollars.
