The Radio Shack in my neighbourhood sold me a pack of five 1N34s for a
couple of dollars. I bought them for my NoPPP, but was pleased to have the
extras when my son's crystal radio kit arrived in the mail without the
diode. I imagine you can also get the earphone from Radio Shack, too. Good
