I have given up on making my own color organ. The 3 channel color
organs can get quite complicating. I have decided to get the Color
Organ Kit #2042 from EKI, they sell them at a local store.

Problem with this color organ is that it can only handle 9 LEDs per
channel, but I need more. I need 24 LEDs per channel. These are
super bright 1.9V 20ma LEDs. What parts of the color organ would I
have to replace for it to withstand the increased wattage nesseary for
what I want? Keep in mind this is a 12Vdc color organ.
Next is I want to loose the mic. I'm not sure how effective a mic is
at picking up different frequencies but I'm guessing a direct
connection is better. Can I just take out the mic and hook up the
wires to the speaker connectors or do I need to do something else?
Mucho Gracias Amigos for helping me out with my little project.
