You can buy disposable sensors for pulse oximeters. Check with a hospital
for sources, or do a search. IIRC, the sensors have 2 leds, one IR and the
other some other. The % O2 is derived via a proprietary alogrithm from
comparison of signals from the two sources through a finger.
