I need part number suggestions for a "complementary" pair of dual ultrafast
rectifier diodes. The ideal parameters for the diodes would be:
If(continuous)/A: 12 or greater
trr max/ns: not hugely significant; preferably <100ns
Package: TO220/3 ideally; can work with others
The parts I'm looking for will each contain two diodes. One part will have
common cathodes, the other will have common anodes. All the packages I've
looked at so far are common cathode (most annoying!). Something like a BYW99
would be ideal, but I can't find a common-anode variety.
I can redesign the system to use four single-diode packages instead of two
dual-diode packages, but I'd rather keep things neat (and keep the part
count low) if possible. As for suppliers, I (almost definitely) need to use
RS or Farnell and devices which are likely to become obsolete must obviously
The devices are for bridge rectification of the output of a step-up
full-bridge SMPS operating at between 50 and 100kHz. Cost is a very
significant factor in this design.
Thanks for your help -- apologies if I should have posted this to
sci.electronics.basic instead of this NG.
