This is a totally ineffective proposal. Perhaps you are thinking of the
so-called iron-curtain example with armed border patrol backup prepared
to shoot intruders. The US border is too vast and the people will simply
breach the mine-fields with metal detectors. And there is the issue of
medical assistance for the injured, or do you plan on using the
"bouncing Betty" variety that launches to chest height and
self-detonates an extremely lethal level of high-velocity shrapnel for a
guaranteed kill? Wouldn't that be a world-class public relations coup
for a so-called humane society.
