I tried to test many Chip ICs from TI but never success.
I use instant inductors that look like resister green color
and a blue type. Both are fail. I solder all components
as short as possible directly to IC ( DIP300 type ).
The output voltage is lower than the design spec.
By the way, One IC from MAXIM MAX761 is success!
Laughs !! I mounting on stripboard and it work very well.
The efficiency is ~55%. These IC require 2 cells battery.
input 2.4v 180mA
output 12v 20mA
MAXIM still didn't send me sample MAX619 and MAX757 to test.
I am waiting..them...
There are many surface mounting ICs. But I don't have idea
how to solder them how to make a PCB that very tiny line.
