I've got a MS mouse with a scroll wheel, but I swapped it for my
trusty old Logitech TrackMan Marble because my hand was hurting.
MS has trackballs, even with scroll wheels, that sort of look like
the Logitech, but the feel is nowhere near as good. They also have
right-left hand models that are unsatisfactory for either persuasion.
When I was in HK last month I saw mice with *two* scroll wheels. Easy
scrolling in (on?) both axis. Best Buy has brand-name (forget which)
optical mice with two sensors (supposed to give more accurate and
repeatable motion). I've also seen mice with a bunch of keys, with CF
and other card readers, and even with a TELEPHONE built in.
Besides my hand hurting the Intellipoint MOUSE DRIVER was trying to
contact Microsoft over the net. It should shut up and mind its own
business, so it has had its bits recycled.
