Thanks for the ummm... "great" story. It had not occurred to me that
this might have been what happened to me once as well. I was building a
preamp/EQ for my (oddly enough) Harman-Kardon amp, when suddenly I
smelled something burning. Now the audio level was way down. I mean like
below "room volume", and I didn't hear any loud spikes. I found my
tweeter smoking, but the woofer was ok. It has always bugged me, but
perhaps this answers it, although I do not recall if any vehicles were
nearby. I can say though, that there was an occasion or two when the
electric organ would pick up someone talking, just as a car was going by.
