just to follow up... Haltom City eh? That makes my distance
estimate eerily accurate (for just guessing, based on road-trip
reception), but more WNW than WSW. And 92.5 would be almost due
north and about half the distance. Not too bad for directional
antenna purposes... I may try to build one. (yeah, I'm cheap)
Anyway, not much luck with the stub thing... may have hooked it
up wrong. However, while inside the unit I found the AUX inputs!
:-) So, I hooked up my son's portable CD/radio (with digital
tuner)... is that cheating? heh... but the Pink Floyd CD meant
the radio never got used. Sound's SWEET! I love tube amps!
I also noticed an RCA jack labelled MPX (or MUX?). What's that
thingamajigger for? multipath rejection?
Thanks again... now if I can somehow get a fruitfly inside a
vacuum tube... ;-)
