The laser pointer that I have, uses 3X1.5 Volts= 4.5 Volts dc
That is easy to get from the output of medium power receiver
You may have to place a diode in series . I don't know the behavior of
the laser with reverse voltage.
Be careful don't direct the light at your eyes.
