Calling LoJack a "particle" is perhaps not quite right. It's self-
contained, but somewhat larger than most "particles". Anyone with a
frequency counter could find the frequency. I'm not sure what band it's
on, but it's nothing too special. You could use an RF field strength meter
to see when the transmitter is on. If you want to defeat it, why don't you
just remove it from your car? Better yet, don't get it in the first place.
If you don't want to be tracked, get a non-gps phone (or leave your phone
off), and don't use EZ Pass.

Unless the government has a really excellent reason, anyone should be
allowed to possess, own, purchase, store, use, publish, say, or do
anything that does not cause demonstrable harm to another person without
that person's consent. "To fight terrorism" in the vague sense is not
even close to sufficient reason.
