This appears to be an operating system that supports the PPC processor, and a variety of VME and Compact PCI cards. IP, FlashDisk, HTTP server, Frame Buffer grabber and other modules suggest that applications such as an "attic crawler" could be built. I am familar with the software development and cross-compile environments. What I don't have is the experience with any of the board level products that this could boot on. While I could, in principle, use CadSoft's EAGLE and make my own board, I think I want a working system soon. Are there posters in the group with experience on any of the hardware platforms mentioned at http://www.xo2.org/Pages/hwsupport.html ? My hobby criteria might include cheap, accessible to modification, well documented. Do any of these systems move to the center / fringe under those criteria?
