I once did a golf cart controller. That one was 12V at a max of 20 Amps.
Used a cheap Nfet. Even then the 12V battery weighed enough to just be on
the limit of a woman hoisting the cart in the car boot.
The 'Golf cart' in your mention would seem to be better described as a large
electric vehicle with consequent large costs. ($574/unit seems very cheap!).
