Telezapper. Doesn't get them all, and probably will become less
effective as time goes by (I'm sure the predictive dialing 'solution
providers' are coming up with a fix, if there's not one already..), but
I got one, it picks up with the answering machine all day long, & sends
the 'doo-doo-doo - This number has been ' operator message,
and it had cut down on my night-time calls significantly - apparently
when their PVD product comes across a 'disconnected' line, it takes it
off the list of people to call back.
Anyone else, I just tell them "nothankstake me off your list please, I
refuse to buy subscribe to or anything from someone that calls me on the
phone to sell anything or whatever".
PS - parents.mine are in Colorado, which has a no-call list - they say
they get almost no unsolicited commercial callss.. still get calls for
people who want you to sponsor some political candidate, I guess, but
hey, that's not too bad in comparison.
