I suspect that you are not aware of how US law works. Here the various
departments of the US government have been granted authrity by the US
congress of making rules and regulations within their domain that carry
the weight of law. Just like the IRS can make rules about your taxes
that are upheld by the courts as law, the USPS makes regulations about
mail boxes that *are* law. So the URL that was posted,
shows some of the relevant law concerning putting non-mail in
"letterboxes or other receptacles". Its not just a good idea, its the
