| Can anybody help me in getting info about the internal structure of
|common op-amps like 741 and 324? For e.g. is it true that all 741 (or 324)
|variations, like LM741 (324), HA17741 (324) and uA741 have the same NPN
|or PNP input stage? or can they be/are different?
| Pl enlighten. I am awfully confused abt these. Any good reference
|suggested would also be very valuable to me.
|thanks and best regards,
741's: Quite a few variations in the implementation of the
common-mode loop. I got bitten by this when buying die back in the
early 70's for a hybrid... some versions will work with the inputs all
the way to the positive rail, others won't. That's why operating
outside of specifications can be treacherous ;-)
324's: I think they're all pretty much the same, although Motorola
324's had noticeably higher cross-over distortion, which caused me to
put them on a do-not-buy list when I worked at GenRad.
