I see other reasons, if we take his posts literally. For one
thing, all the observations seem based from within his room,
for example evaluating noises in the gutter or whatever, but
without going outside to inspect, get up on a ladder and find
the stuck tree branch, etc. He see discs in the tree across
the street but doesn't go over to investigate more closely.
This all reminds me of the writings of an invalid (from a book
I read as a boy), someone who is stuck in his room all day,
everyday, and who tries to evaluate with limited information
(noises, flashes of reflected light, etc.) and with a strong
imagination, the unseen world out there beyond the wall.
Also, it's not clear he has any instruments or the electronics
skills to take any measurements. He doesn't have a friend or
relative who has the instruments to do so (we do, but he's not
willing to reveal himself - his name and address).

Or email one of us you trust, we can set something up.
