My eyesight is 20/200 in my good eye. I just remove my glasses and my eyes
are very comfortable with up-close work. :-)

Hot air pens are one of my favourites, but you need to keep the air velocity
very low or you end up blowing parts all over the place. My current
favourite is a Metcal station (I think that's the name) -- two irons, one
for very small work and anothe that I either put a pair of tweezing tips
into or use the air-compressor-assisted solder sucker gun (TH work).

Andrew
