most of the existing fingerprint sensor generate images of the given
the are devices which send a preprocessed image of the fingerprint and there
are some module that only send the detected minutiaes in a encoded format
but for fingerprint sensors i currently know only devices that generates
there a difficult ways to generate the images : capacitive : infineon
sensor, atmel,.. it's the most common method to capture a fingerprint
optical scanners: ccd-sensors
HF based : authentec. very good and smart sensor that could be faked very
thermical : ATMEL -
there are also swipe sensors with limited sensor size (base on
thermical/capacitive princips) to capture a fingerpint image.
