It would almost certainly die (if it ever lived at all). As Dawkins, and
many other evolutionary biologists, never tire of pointing out, is that
there are practically "infinitely" more (Vastly more as Dennett phrases
it) ways of being wrong than of being right.
However, what is certain is that someone will come up with a GM virus or
bacterium, designed to wipe out the enemy's population before self
destructing. If they haven't done it already. I'm not sure whether I
hope they get their calculations right or wrong.
