I read in sci.electronics.design that Bill Sloman
wrote (in ) about 'Defeating Breathalyzer
Ignition Interlocks', on Sun, 5 Jan 2003:

Well, it might have been before I denied it, but it isn't now, unless
you insist on the Lie Direct.
>You may claim that your critical remarks were aimed at
>**those who prevented him publishing** but this is anything but obvious in
>the text, and for me the whole text,
Since there was nothing in any previous text about munging the data,
until you mentioned the suppression, it is unreasonable to claim that my
critique of that action actually refers to something previous, and
something not mentioned, at that!
> including the speculation about drunken
>pedestrians, reads more as if you were looking for reasons which might have
>justified the ban on publishing.
Well, I wasn't, unless you mean 'justified in the venial minds of those
determined to demonize DUIs by all possible means.', which is exactly
what I DID mean.
