We used to have a traditional lung power contest using the workshop 6' wall
mounted manometer. The best all time record set was 2.80psi. (the rules
allowed additional cheek power).
After claiming the record the guy fell onto his knees and keeled over. He
was blind for 10 seconds and for some reason, never competed again.
