I understand so, the OP asserted that: "The only possessors of
firearms in the UK are criminals." So that excludes any person, an
ordinary citizen, a member of the services or police. I think he is
incorrect, but he won't answer. So what protection do UK troops carry
when they deploy to a hostile area now?
And what's actually wrong with bearing arms? The UK was very bloody
happy to have thousands of young New Zealanders and Australians
bearing arms and getting killed in the process in WW 1 and 2. (aka
colonial cannon fodder) And I might add; by the idiotic decisions by
UK Generals and other field rank officers. The most dangerous thing
they did was quaff another pink gin.
