During the last election cycle a group supporting one of the candidates
for governor used this tactic to get people to stop by their
demonstration. They had traffic backed up for a mile (I live in
Vermont and this is *traffic* here). A few were arrested, but they
continued to snarl traffic. I have no idea what they were thinking.
Their candidate lost.
