|Are you still using pspice schematics then Jim? There is no way in
|schematic to set the solver AFAIK other that adding the statement to
|the .cir file.
Yep, I still be using PSpice Schematics. Solver defaults to Solver=1,
if there's no Solver statement, so I made a *part* for Solver that I
place on the simulation page. If you'd like a copy let me know.
|It seems that schematics is not really supported anymore since new
|features are only in capture. I don't why but capture is always
|harder to use than schematics. What I notice most is that when you
|drag components in schematics the wires behave themselves. In capture
|they rarely do and instead go diagonal, move the "wrong" segment, etc.
|Naff really. But there are some useful feature in capture. The
|probes change colour to match the trace (although this can be a bit
|flakely it seems to me). Also, you can save all the sims and setups
|in one dsn which could be useful.
Capture is OrCAD... can I say anything more crude ?:-)
PSpice Schematics, though unsupported, whops the pants off of Capture.
One of these days Cadence will dump Schematics and then I will flee to
a new simulator. Applications now being taken ;-)
Although I suspect (actually I know) you can configure old versions of
Schematics to run SmartSpice (Silvaco).
