It's an NNTP server? So you'd set up whatever newsreader the internet
cafe has if you're stuck with doing that?

I have a webmail interface from one of my ISPs, but for some reason
the secure connection is just about unusuable in some places. In
Kunming, for example, it was totally useless even in the offices
of the telco downtown, yet I could get supposedly blocked cnn.com
there just fine.
