Yes, that happened to me, too. I was invited by an Audio Engineering
Society colleague to see his work at the research institute. I had to
claim (not untruthfully) that my presence was much more likely to hinder
his work than contribute to it!
What is odd is that my colleague found the episode difficult to believe.
