I don't think so. He has Type 2, in which the body's cells don't *react*
to insulin, however much the pancreas produces. Only a whole-body
transplant would change that, in the absence of a way of reversing the
development of insulin resistance. The latter is not, AIUI, considered
impossible, but a method of doing it is a long way off.
