I got SEVERAL emails from this guy. He first emailed me asking how I
could possibly think my power inverter was as efficient as an LED - it
is, it draws 22.5ma. Then he forwarded me about 5 emails with links
to various posts I had made on usenet. Then he emailed me
"uncovering" information about our product that was never a secret to
begin with. I asked what his point was - he said he was "just doing
some research". Then he emailed me asking if I knew Jim Thompson...
then I found this thread.
I don't know who the guy is - but I'm going to call his work on
Tuesday to complain about this. I asked him to stop, and he obviously
has not. I don't know what his beef with me is, since I have never
met or talked to him, and I told him his constant emails were
unwanted, but he kept sending them. I asked him to stop again and now
he started emailing you, I see.
I really think the guy is a bit on the edge. I figure he is either
someone who plans on competing with our products, or somehow he knows
me through someone we both know perhaps (he's near me - works in Fall
River). Either way, I don't appreciate the contact. I'll see where
we get from talking to his employer since he started doing this from
their office, and I saved all the emails. If I get nowhere with that,
I'll get a restraining order and just let his employer know it's in
place. I really hate to come across as a jerk but I have a business to
run, and while I personally am not intimidated easily, there is zero
reason for this guy to act in this manner and especially to start a
fight where one never existed before.
I know there is more to this story - he has some beef with me or our
company but I can't figure out what it is. Oh well... I told him to
stop, and he refused. We reap what we sow.
