Frankly, what really dazzles me is that I can make a phone call. The
microscopic details of this fete are immaterial. Like the original
poster, I use no particularly fancy features. I keep a small phone list.
I lock the keypad so that it is unlikely some useless feature is
activated as I walk. I use one button answering and that is absolutely
all. There is indeed a need for a basic phone. My cheap Qualcom phone is
close to basic and I am not tempted to purchase one that does any more
than it does. I will leave low level protocol management to the phone
and I will deal with high level protocol at the primative level to which
I am accustomed.
