Cell phones are bad but car CD players are much worse. I found it impossible
to find one where the text didn't scroll in from one side or wiz around in
some sort of wanky fashion. Many even had movies that played on the screen.
But what really annoyed me was that these completely useless features had
been added at the expense of useful features like an anti-skip memory and
non-volatile program settings. I work on my car a bit and the battery needs
to be removed on a regular basis, every time I need to tune in the radio
again. Its not good when manufacturers run out of ideas, we end up with crap
like dancing paper clips. It could be worse though, imagine being the poor
engineer given these tasks :-)
