|I had an 8:15 am flight from Tucson to Phoenix (and then off to
|National Airport in DC). When I checked in at like 6:30 am, I was
|told that no flights were leaving for Phoenix because none were
|allowed to land. My 8:15 flight took off around 2pm, after sitting on
|the tarmac for over an hour. Needless to say, I missed my connection,
|and ended up flying into Baltimore. Oh, yeah, the flight to Baltimore
|left late late late. I arrived about ten minutes before midnight. My
|luggage arrived two days later.
|I blame America's Worst Airline (that would be America West). I don't
|understand why they don't have at least ONE flight from Tucson direct
|to DC, or direct to Newark, NJ. They suck, and I've added them to my
|shitlist, which also includes Northwest Airlines.
Is there any *direct* flight to anywhere significant from Tucson ?:-)
But I agree with you on AWA... I don't fly them *at all*. In October
I needed to fly to Santa Barbara, could have taken AWA direct, but, to
ensure that I actually arrived on time I took the United Shuttle to LA
and then to Santa Barbara.
AWA is so backward they don't even have X-ray equipment in Santa
Barbara... all checked bags are hand-searched ;-)
