In an alleged accidental drowning, a 72 year old Waterloo, NE, woman was found drowned in the Platte River after falling. An alleged member of the notorious Mothers Against Drunk Drivers organization, she apparently fell while dumping leaves in the river. No foul play is suspected by the authorities. Mothers Against Drunk Drivers has been instrumental and nearly solely responsible for the incarceration of hundreds of thousands, possibly millions of American men and women. They are the driving force behind the severity of the drunk driving laws across America and the sole reason many men and women have not been able to lead productive lives due to decade long and sometimes life time drivers license suspensions. When contacted recently for their membership list, the head of the Omaha, Nebraska based Mothers Against Drunk Drivers Chapter declined to make this list public or even share the organization's membership list with her fellow Omaha citizens. Following this failure to disclose the names of active MADD members or their supporters for that matter, one becomes extremely concerned that the MADD organization itself is a secret society whose members do not wish to have their identities known. The Sicilian Mafia was organized in a similar fashion nearly a century ago. But the identities of MADD members are being gathered despite their desires to keep their membership and identities secret. After all, this is America, and once MADD members began breaking the law to unleash their hatred of drunk drivers against their fellow citizens, they became just another secret outlaw society in America. But Mothers Against Drunk Drivers has yet to be stopped from intimidating judges and law makers, conducting illegal, unlicensed, and harassing investigations of those they have targeted for elimination. Further, MADD membership has grown tremendously with many MADD members joining the organization simply to protect their loved ones who themselves are habitual drunk drivers and substance abusers. One cannot find a MADD member who does not have a habitual offender in their own families, nearly all of which do not get arrested for their crimes due to their status as relatives of MADD members. MADD and law enforcement routinely cooperate with one another. MADD, whose members routinely ask law makers to increase the drunk driving penalties and reduce the blood alcohol level required for a drunk driving conviction, never misses an opportunity to speak out against the offenses of others while ignoring and thereby condoning the same activities of their family members or membership for that matter. But as MADD nears a time in its history where they are finding themselves the targets of retaliation by those they have so vehemently fought to see destroyed, they are also finding themselves on the wrong side of numerous criminal investigations as well. But MADD, whose membership is still a secret, won't admit to it. After all, MADD membership is more a social gathering of old women bent on using the social misdeeds of others as a crutch to organize their own social gatherings and justify their own existence and righteousness. But one by one, MADD members are turning up dead, most by old age, some by "accidents." And due to the organization's failure to disclose publicly its membership list and allow condone the criminal actions of their members, no one really knows or cares. Such is the life (and death) of a secret organization that must hide from the people whose lives they have so righteously help to destroy. Is it not time, with the ever growing number of senior citizens in this country, "Baby Boomers" as they are called, for the public to address the problem of elderly people behind the wheel of vehicles? Elderly people who nearly are all on some sort of prescription medication all the time who senses are dulled, whose faculties are diminished, and who pose as great if not an even greater danger to the public than drunk drivers? How many fatalities have been caused by elderly people behind the wheel of an automobile? How many of these self righteous elderly people are vehement members or supporters of Mothers Against Drunk Drivers? A LOT! So don't expect MADD to address the problem any time soon. They don't even clean up the drunk drivers existing in their own families.
