What she cares about is what's left of her music career. Her
management has probably warned her about the potential hazards of
speaking out about however she may truly feel about Bush and/or the
political climate in general.
My guess is that she hasn't really got any serious thoughts on those
matters (or anything else) even bouncing around in her pretty little
vapid, pop-star head, and since she was probably instructed to never
say anything "bad" about bush - she came out with the idiotic,
mindless blather she was quoted on above.
She's just another disposable pop star who nobody will even remember
in a few years (months?) and no radio station will be playing her
insipid, disposable pop music either no matter whether she's sucking
face with Madonna or releasing lezbo porno flicks with her.
