Tariq Al-Amin made the comments after his fellow officer was killed in the line of duty. Al-Amin, known on the street at the Tariq Aziz of Omaha, was upset that during the funeral for the cop killer, the preacher conducting the service announced he donated some money in the name of the cop killer's children to the children of the slain police officer. Al-Amin, who police career and radical racist views have always put him at the forefront of controversy in Omaha, publicly advocated that the children of the cop killer should take the straight razor he brandished on the television program and slash the throat of the preacher who donated the money in their name. Such a man does not belong in law enforcement and it is wonder why the man was not charged with making terroristic threats as would be any civilian for such comments. At least the moron was fired, although he is now claiming that racism was a factor in his firing. Apparently, he does not feel his comments were out of place nor does he believe he did anything wrong. Congratulations to Interim Chief Al Pepin for cleaning up his own department, if only slightly. There are a lot of bad apples at the OPD, which has become a haven for criminals wearing the blue uniform and hiding behind the badge of law enforcement. Not all of them are black. Perhaps Omaha Mayor Mike Fahey will rethink his list of candidates who are in the running for Chief and include Interim Chief Pepin as Pepin has now shown he is capable and willing to remove the bad element at the OPD. Perhaps now several white criminals lurking in the ranks of the OPD will be fired or arrested. As for Al-Amin, I don't think the next time he makes a threat of murder against another individual in Omaha he will find himself protected by the law because he is wearing the blue uniform and badge. And that is why I love America!
