The three bikers crossed paths with a hoodlum punk fleeing from Carter Lake, IA Police who had staked out the suspect's home on a child molestation complaint. The three cyclists didn't know what hit them. The complete story can be found at http://www.omaha.com/index.php?u_np=0&u_pg=1636&u_sid=1041254 Such police chases in which lawless hoodlum punks lead police on high speed chases and injure and kill innocent bystanders in their wake are all too common across America. Current police technology to end such chases are limited to vehicle maneuvers which actually intentionally crash the suspect vehicle, stop stick technology which disable the suspect's tires but don't actually stop the pursuit, and the very rare case in which a high tech electronic burst of energy placed under a suspect's engine causes the electronic ignition to short circuit and immediately disable the vehicle. But now, from the labs of the American Vietcong, comes new technology for law enforcement the US military has yet to fully develop and implement on the battle field. EMP Pulse technology focused into a narrow burst with approximately 100 yard pulse range that will disable the electronic ignition of a suspect's vehicle without having to be placed directly under the suspect vehicle. The EMP Canon, as it is referred, can be placed in any police cruiser with the EMP producing pulse jet mounted on the front bumper of the police cruiser to send out a narrow cone shaped beam of electronics disabling EMP directly at the suspect vehicle with little damage to bystander's vehicles and property. When properly utilized, the EMP Canon or Ignition Gun as it is referred to, can electronically shoot the ignition of a fleeing vehicle and instantly and permanently stop the suspect's engine at any speed, during any conditions, and without any lethal side effects to officers, bystanders, or even the suspects. The technology is expensive, but it is far less expensive than the damage done in lost lives, livelihoods, etc., cause when current police chases end in disaster as was the case this weekend in Omaha, Nebraska. Lawsuits from bystanders being injured and killed in police chases routinely run into the millions of dollars, far more than the cost of equipping police cruisers with the high tech electronic ignition disabling devices. The idea would be that when a police pursuit has begun, the officer equipped with the EMP Canon or Ignition Killer would wait for the ideal time when he is in range of the suspect's vehicle, up to 100 yards, and free from bystander vehicles and property likely to contain electronic equipment. Once in range and with a clear EMP canon shot from the front of his cruiser, the officer in pursuit would simply hit the trigger and a silent EMP Pulse would emit from the front of his cruiser at the suspect vehicle disabling any and all electronic devices in its path up to its rated range. The suspect's vehicle would immediately lose all power and soon come to rest for officers to make the arrest. Potential side effects from the misuse of the EMP Canon include the unwanted destruction of bystander electronics gear. Everything from watches, to computers, to ignition systems, to pace makers would be electronically shorted out should the EMP Canon pulse be misdirected toward them. But like the sidearms that all officers carry for defense, proper training in the use of the EMP Canon would prevent such mishaps for the most part. In city environments, where bystanders are likely to be within closer proximity to fleeing suspect vehicles, the range of the EMP Canon could be reduced to that of 100 feet or less to prevent the Pulse Overshoot of the Canon and limit collateral damage to bystander electronics. This would simply require the pursuing officer to get within that range before using the Ignition Killer EMP Pulse Canon. The technology is currently available to the law enforcement public for a price. The US military has had the technology for some time but has not released it to the public for fear it could be used against them. But the secret is out, so to speak. The idea was developed independently of military sponsored defense contractor laboratories and is now ready to be tested on the civilian market, namely for use by law enforcement to instantly and safely end high speed police pursuits. Another idea from the labs of the American Vietcong. Long Live The United States of America!
