Background:

- It is expected that the project will require an average of 3 days of
effort per week for the duration of the project
- Some travel to Vancouver may be required
Mandatory:

- 3 years experience as a Project Manager
- Demonstrated success as a project manager in at least one large project
within the last three years. A large project is defined as:
* more than 6 stakeholders
* more than 6 months in duration
* minimum 6 team members
* over $500,000 value of the project
- Detailed knowledge of project management principles and methodologies
- Proven managerial experience with quantifiable and demonstrated experience
in lead a diverse team of professionals
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to write, analyze and edit project plans and proposals for
accuracy and consistency
- Experience working with computerized document imaging systems
- Experience working in a legal environment on litigation management support
systems
Responsibilities:

- Prepare a business case for the project
- Develop a Request for Proposal and assist in the selection and procurement
of a litigation support tool that most closely match documented requirements
- Prepare project charter and project work plans according to guidelines
published by the client's project support office
- Overall project tracking and reporting (including project plan updating)
- Manage project communication
- Identify, communicate and manage risks
- Develop a business model for the implementation and operational support of
the Litigation Management System that is based on litigation support best
practices
- Manage the change management process
- Facilitate workshops associated with the Litigation Management System
project
- Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the project, or seek
resolution from the steering committee
- Facilitate, schedule and manage the initiation, planning, execution and
controlling phases of the Litigation Management System project life cycle
