Background:

- Our client is looking for senior PowerHouse programmers/analysts,
experienced in a VMS environment, to assist in the ongoing maintenance and
enhancement of their applications
- The client anticipates that approximately 200 hours of programming/analysis
services will be required per month
- The individual contractors will be expected, on request, to attend weekly
meetings in Victoria, BC
- Contractors will be required to do all programming work at their own sites
and must sign the client's remote access user agreement
Mandatory Requirements:

- Programming and analysis with Cognos PowerHouse in a VMS environment
including Batch Quick programs
- Creating tables and complex views with SQL for an Rdb database
- Writing and modifying significant DCL procedures under VMS
- Maintaining and enhancing critical corporate applications
- Creating and updating system and user documentation
- Communicating with other technical resources and with non-technical users
- Understanding of and or experience with oil and gas royalty systems and
related policies, in particular those of the MOG branch
Responsibilities:

- Modify current programs as deemed necessary by the RMS project committee
- Create new reports for users as determined by the RMS project committee
- Modify and create new programs related to the three legislated changes as
determined by the RMS project committee
- Assist with user acceptance testing
- Write systems documentation and train users
