Primary Responsibilities - Assist clients with technical system issues and some application inquiries. - Assist with data file transmissions tracking via FTP and connect direct. - Identify and investigate data transmission problems. - Assist with all operational duties on various platforms. - Fill out statistical and report tracking forms. - Perform technical duties in the resolution of phone line and customer hardware problems. - Assist support groups in gathering necessary research material to understand and solve problems. - Update system tracking database and properly categorize which support group is responsible for the resolution of issues. - Answer all incoming calls and assist with the research of any problems that occur. - Assist support groups with follow up to customers status on open issues. - Respond promptly to client inquiries, notification of problems and requests for project statuses. - Work with technologies including Tandem, Unix, RISC6000, AS400, Openview, Autosys and Mainframe. - Prepare 3480, 3490, 4mm and 8mm tapes for offsite storage. - Monitor and work with Interfaces - Run daily system backup jobs. - Assists in month end and holiday coverage - This is a weekend 3rd shift full-time position with the hours of 7:45pm to 7:45 am, Friday thru Sunday.
