Tracks on-going DOCSIS & CableHome standardization and compliance efforts, especially as they relate to the development, specification, deployment and evolution of OSS components. - Works toward goal of common provisioning and network management models across services. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Proficiency in development languages J2EE and Java. Operating Systems experience with Solaris, Windows NT Server, or Linux. Middleware integration technologies: JMS MQ Series, CORBA IDL, XML, Oracle, JDBC, JNDI Legacy systems integration, scheduled batch processing, data feeds, data parsing, JSP and web technologies, distributed architecture, LDAP security, authentication and authorization, performance monitoring, web architecture and design with client session management in a load balanced environment. Experience articulating complex technical architectures. - Strong theoretical knowledge of OSS architectures and protocols and a demonstrated knowledge of device & service provisioning and network management is required. - Prior experience with building billing system interfaces is required. - Experience in interfacing to CSG, DST, and Convergys is highly desirable. - A Masters degree in an appropriate area of specialization or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Over 10 years of relevant technical experience is required. - Experience with, and knowledge of, DOCSIS protocols is required. - Experience with DOCSIS systems development is highly desirable. Prior experience with cable modem network operations is highly desirable. - Working knowledge of cable systems architecture, operations, administration, and practices and procedures is also required. - Knowledge of digital services for cable systems, cable modems, and digital data communications and home networking technologies is required. - Experience with project specifications development is required.
