This position ensures all Exelon Power facilities and work practices are in compliance with applicable OSHA rules and regulations. This person also assists in the design, development, planning, coordination of training and development programs for Power and confers with plant management and supervisors to determine training needs, and schedule training as necessary, for personnel at assigned facilities. Requirements include: Oversees and administers the Exelon Power Safety and Training programs. Communicates with all levels within the organization to effectively implement safety and training standards. Other duties as assigned. Safety Works with Training personnel to assist in the development of safety training programs. Monitors, tracks and reports out on safety issues to senior management. Develops performance indicators for safety adherence. Monitors pending regulatory changes and implements changes within the organization as needed. Communicates with safety staff to ensure up-to-date practices (procedure changes, training, conducting demonstrations, etc.) Writes, maintains, and approves all safety procedures. Maintains safety professional qualifications as needed. Motivate, lead and hold employees accountable for safety and performance. Training Maintain training records in the Exelon Power personnel. Formulates training policies and programs based on knowledge of identified training needs, company operations, method and processes, business systems or changes in products, procedures or services Recommends appropriate instructional procedures or methods such as individual training, group instruction, self study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role play and computer based training Facilitates the development of training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids and other educational materials. Keeps informed on new developments, methods and techniques in the training field. Communicates with all levels within the organization to effectively implement safety and training standards. Special projects as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 8 - 10 years experience in managing safety programs. Training and development experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Power Plant Operations, maintenance or field operations Effective skills in strategic planning, organizing and resource management/utilization. Strong oral communications, and negotiating skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of organization. Demonstrated experience as a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently. Excellent business skills in the areas of project management, budget development and management, work planning and scheduling and problem solving/analytical skills. Proficient computer skills. Demonstrated effective presentation skills. Experience with computer-based training programs. Ability to manage multiple issues/projects with conflicting priorities In depth knowledge of OSHA Laws and Regulations. Ability to travel to various locations.
