Help identify strengths and weaknesses within the department and improve on existing standards and procedures. To reduce fraud loss to the bank by implementing new systems and ideas. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Work alert queues and reports daily, making outbound calls to verify charges. Take Lost/Stolen reports as required. Setup new accounts and issue cards, pins and checks for Lost/Stolen accounts. Transfer all legitimate charges to the new accounts and complete an audit of the process to ensure completion. Review Lost/Stolen queues and reports for accuracy. Provide feedback to departments on Lost/Stolen process. Take calls on fraud issues from operational departments. Investigate suspicious alerts from Customer Service and Credit, doing proper follow-up and documentation. Review and investigate NRI alerts from telemarketing company. File tracking complaints with mail carrier and complete proper follow-up and documentation. Assist with training issues. Create presentations to deliver to varying departments on a quarterly basis as assigned. Provide one on one training as requested. Preliminary investigations assisting the investigators as needed. Complete investigation tasks for assigned cases, including; order statements, copies of payments and charges, and perform chargeback duties related to the account. Contact merchants, obtain affidavits and compile case synopsis. Assume additional duties as required by the Fraud Specialist. Required Skills QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Required Ability to work independently and without direction. Capable of taking initiative and making decisions. Capable of prioritizing and meeting deadlines. Analytical skills, requiring the ability to do investigations. Required computer knowledge; Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word. Must have an excellent understanding of credit card products and operations, including collections and customer service. Professional demeanor in dealing with internal and external customers is essential. Preferred Fraud or investigations experience in a card operations environment preferred. Knowledge of organized credit card rings preferred. Preferred computer knowledge; FDR, Microsoft Access.
